ABOUT BDYD

BDYD is a champion grassroots charity who make positive changes to our community by offering high quality arts based projects, youth dance workshops, community arts events and career pathway activities. We provide effective opportunities that engage local people in constructive action, through tasks such as dance, drama and singing, and emphasise common values such as friendship, citizenship and learning.

We are a small charity, who predominately work with children and young people aged 5-19. We work with top London choreographers and offer local people the chance to take part in high quality training.

We offer weekly dance and fitness sessions as well as an annual Summer showcase at the Broadway Theatre and a Winter performance for those participants to celebrate their work and achievements.

We provide a safe and supportive environment to explore and experiment with dance and choreography.

BDYD also run Bar-Ham Leaders – “Giving Young People a Voice”, this is youth action programme that encourages teenagers to learn the skills to communicate their views and suggestions, with the aim to influence policy and government.

We have been awarded London Youth’s Silver Quality Mark for our work.
